General
- We do not expect everyone to have absolutely impeccable grammar and spelling, but please make sure that it is used, and that a spell checker is used also, before posting.
- No foul language, or nastiness, towards a player out of character. You don't need to get along with everyone, but be civil about it. This is different than in character, you're allowed to think and do such things in character, just don't take things personally.
- We accept all levels and ages, so please do keep this in mind. No descriptive mating please, though basic cursing is allowed, please try not to take it too overboard.
- No God moding or power playing. At all.
- No spamming the message boards.
- Respect the moderators and the administrator. If it weren't for them, there wouldn't be a site for you to play.
- Please try and make a decent post. Though we are a site for all role playing levels, we do expect you to make an effort. We like to see at least two to four paragraphs. The more the better!
- No advertising please. If you join and post an advert, you will immediately be banned.
- You are expected to post frequently, at least twice a week.
- Please keep any out of character conversation on the OOC board.
Characters
- This is a realistic role play. Therefore all characters created are only permitted to have stuff which can occur in real life. No wings, jewellery, magic or unreal colours please!
- Please act according to your rank. If you're a pup, you're not going to be taking on an Alpha, and if you're a low rank, don't bite off more than you can chew unless you really are prepared for it. Newcomers who challenge for ranks will be frowned upon. Try and build some credibility within the game first.
- Characters are unlimited, but please only play as many as you can keep track of and keep active.
- Wolves generally live between eight and thirteen years, though a wolf living past ten years is frowned upon a little. Please keep track of birth dates, and yes, wolves can and will die within this game, whether through old age or injury. No wolf is invincible. Once they are dead, they are dead.
- If you become inactive for a lengthy period of time, your character/s will be adopted out for others to continue on playing. If you do come back, you may claim them back if not already adopted out, or talk to the person who's adopted them and they may give them back, or not.
- You don't have to create a character, if there are characters available for adoption, feel free to ask to adopt them! We'd rather it this way then a whole bunch of new characters, as it keeps the game flowing.
- Characters are subject to moderator approval before you begin playing them. All created characters you need to fill out the character creation form, and email it through to us.
Pack Life
- Ranked wolves can and will force a wolf to submit. Unless you are planning on challenging a wolf for his position, just make things easy for us and submit.
Fighting
- Fighting is done slightly different here than in other wolf RPGs. Here you will act out your turn, and then I'll say on the OOC chat if you hit or miss, and to what extent, and the other person will act that out, and so on, until the fight is over. Though deaths will be rare, there is always that chance in a fight! So make sure you treat every battle as a death match (unless it's a little squabble over something insubstantial, then you don't need to wait on the admin to say if you hit or miss, just role play fairly).
- Killing a ranked wolf can get your character killed. Most ranked wolves have a huge respect from the others, and they may seek their revenge.
- If you are in a battle and don't reply within a week, the other wolf will automatically win, and can role play as such. That would be one of the only times God moding is allowed.
- Role play out your wounds properly. Damage takes time to heal. They can't be out and about walking around just fine the next day.
Mating and Pups
- There's two seperate ways of doing things within the different packs. In the Dancing Water Pack, all wolves mate by choice. If you're in the Magyar pack and you're a female, there is a high possibility you could be forced to mate if you haven't already paired off.
- Gestation period is one season. When the next season rolls around, your pups will be born. Please post on the OOC list when I announce the new season that the pups need to be born, and I will give you a number of pups whelped, and how the pregnancy went. This gives you time to role play the pregnancy as well as what happens when the pups are born. Pups will be weaned after another season.
- Once the puppies are weaned, then feel free to see if anyone wants to adopt and play them, otherwise you can play them all yourself, though I do recommend getting others to play.
